This year has been one hell of a rollercoaster; from the pandemics to the lockdown and the economic meltdown, to locusts and floods, name it.

However, despite the hurdles of 2020, the fashion and design industry is still thriving, whereby designers have unleashed new trends in the market that have since made a huge statement this year despite the challenges in the economy. Let’s get to it.

Biker shorts

In previous years these were known to be undergarments but no in this dot com era as most of y’all prefer to call it. The hype will surely still be alive and well through August 2021 and women will undoubtedly be swapping out their leggings for the cooler alternative. But that’s not all, biker shorts are the perfect pieces to wear with all your sporty sandals.

Sneakers

These are shoes primarily designed for sports or other forms of physical exercise but they are now also widely used for everyday casual wear. Sneakers have been an important part of hip hop and rock n’ roll cultures since the 1970s.

These are actually very light on the head, they don’t cost an arm and a leg and come in quite different colours, styles and designs. The ladies couldn’t resist from looking good despite the lockdown challenges the country has been facing and the rising number of Covid 19 cases.
