Renowned musician Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool, his wife Zuena Kirema and others are set to go into the mandatory 14 day quarantine, after the Ministry of Health declared that fallen Gagamel singer Allan Masengere aka Shortkut died of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Bebe Cool, Zuena and other Gagamel boys have been taking care of Shortkut who was bedridden at Mulago Hospital for several days, until Wednesday this week when he breathed his last.
Following his death, Bebe Cool, family and friends escorted the body to the deceased’s ancestral home in Masaka, where they were to bury his remains.
We have however since learnt that the funeral was disrupted by police and officials from the Ministry of Health, who declared that Shortkut had died of COVID-19 according to results from Mulago Hospital of samples taken off him shortly after death.
It said that when Bebe Coola and other mourners saw the police storming the funeral and taking over burial of the deceased, they all scampered into different directions for fear of arrest.
Our Moles intimate that Bebe Cool, Zuena, Gagamel crew boys and Shortkut’s relatives who were at the funeral have since been designated as Contacts, which means that they have to go into mandatory quarantine.
However, by the time of filing this story neither the Ministry of Health nor Bebe Cool had issued a statement about this unfortunate matter.
