Jamaican international reggae star Buju Banton and Ugandan celebrated musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, who is also an aspiring 2021 presidential candidate on National Unity Platform (NUP) party, have released a new song titled ‘Bullet or Ballot’.
The video of the song, which was premiered on YouTube on Friday night in Jamaica, is already trending on all online music channels and some local TV stations.
Despite having been premiered just last night, by Saturday morning the video had already clocked more than 25,000 views.
We have since established that Bobi Wine, who is also the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, and Buju Banton recorded the song early this year in January When he had traveled to Jamaica for the annual Rebel Salute reggae festival.
Bobi Wine was invited by local organisers of the annual two-day music festival in Jamaica founded in 1994 by Jamaican music producer and promoter, Mr Patrick George Anthony Barrett, aka, Tony Rebel.
During his sojourn in Jamaica, Bobi Wine also met the country’s key political leaders, including Prime Minister Andrew Holdness, reggae maestro Buju Banton and Dr Julius Garvey, a son of former civil rights activist Marcus Garvey.
