Match Day 5 of 6 of the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League was completed last night with eight matches played across eight different venues in Europe.
There was a plethora of goals scored as clubs fought to either secure progression to the elite competition’s round of 16, or stay in contention until the final match day of the group stge.
In England, Manchester United hosted French side PSG who were looking for revenge after losing at home to Ole’s men in the first leg in October, and they got it.
PSG will have Brazil to thank as two Brazilians Neymar Santos Junior and skipper Marcos Aoás Corrêa commonly known as Marquinhos scored the three goals that granted them the victory at Old Trafford, the former scoring a brace.

Manchester United’s only goal was Marcus Rashford’s deflected shot in the 32nd minute.
Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 132nd goal of the Champions League as Italian giants Juventus put three past Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in Turin. This was goal number 750 of the Portuguese star’s professional career. He keeps getting better with age, just like wine!

Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud celebrating one of his goals against Sevilla
Alvaro Morata and Federico Chiesa scored the other goals, the former scoring his sixth of the competition.
In Spain, Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud was the star of the night as he single-handedly handled Spanish side Sevilla by scoring four on the night. Giroud’s four-some of goals made him the oldest player, at 34, to score a Champions League hat-trick.
