In an interview broadcast on Sunday September 20th, 2020, the richest man in Kenya discussed a wide range of issues that range from childhood to marriage and his businesses.
When asked by the host of NTV Kenya’s wildly popular show, The Churchill Show, Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki about marriage, Chris Kirubi said marriage is enslavement.
“You have to be careful. You have to agree to go into slavery, to go to jail but not to go in to test and get put. It’s a permanent affair; you are jailed for life. If you are lucky God will bless you with a good woman. If you are unlucky you will find self in jail. It’s like some ladies go to the military before getting into marriage because they are full of fighting mood. They are always fighting but if you marry a good woman it’s such a pleasure…it’s luck. God has to bless you,” Kirubi said.
When asked about what was so special about Ugandan women he exclaimed that; “Ugandan women are very polite; you will never fight with them. If you have never experienced it, go to Uganda with a one way ticket. You may never come back”.
Probed further about Kenyan women, the 79-year-old successful businessman who is not married, after divorcing his wife some years ago, said Kenyan women have their good qualities too.
“If you want to get rich marry a good Kenyan woman. If she is not into noise making she will make you money.”
Then he went further to say that people in different countries have their own way of life; “The Ugandan women are trained how to look after home and how to look after men, but Kenyan women are trained to how work hard, make money and live independent whether they are married or not.”
