Once popular musician Hajjat Stecia Mayanja is currently hospitalized after she fell ill over the weekend with a strange disease, which medics are yet to diagnose.
According to our Moles, Stecia was rushed to Nakasero Hospital on Saturday evening after she complained of abdominal complications, headache and general body weakness.
It is not yet clear what ailment she is suffering from but medics at Nakasero Hospital have since put her in the Intensive Care Unit as they closely watch her medical condition.
However, all this comes at a time when Hajjat Stecia is a single mother, after she was abandoned by her now estranged husband Abbas Mubiru, who fled the country a few years ago shortly after their wedding.
Stecia was a member of the defunct Eagles Productions band that included singers like Mesach Ssemakula, Geoffrey Lutaaya, Ronald Mayinja, Catherine Kusasira and others.
In 2015 all the band members pooled together millions of shillings which they used to organize a massive wedding for Stecia and Mubiru.
However, shortly after the wedding, Mubiru was arrested and caged at Luzira Prisons over allegations of fraud and selling land that didn’t belong to him.
After spending several weeks in jail Mubiru was granted bail and directed to report back to court on a designated date for hearing of his cases but by the time that date arrived he had already fled the country.
His whereabouts have since remained unknown, although some pals intimate that he fled to South Africa while others say he is hustling in the United Arab Emirates.
He wasn’t even around to welcome their first child together because by then Mubiru was already a wanted man and police and court were putting pressure on his sureties to produce him too.
Since then, Stecia has been battling cold nights and struggling to raise her children as a single mother, until recently when the strange illness attacked her.
In January this year she revealed to some sections of the media that she had decided to separate with Mubiru, although they have never officially divorced.
