It is no secret that Uganda is the entertainment capital of East and Central Africa.
Uganda’s capital Kampala has been host to some of the biggest musicians and entertainers from East Africa, Africa and the world from Lucky Dube in the 90’s to Akon and R. Kelly in the 2000’s to NeYo and having a plethora of musicians from Jamaica, South, and West Africa, one of whom is Davido.
Davido, who has been in Uganda three times, has come out to reveal that he indeed misses Kampala.
The “Aye” hit maker revealed this on his Twitter page as he was replying to a tweet which indicated that his latest single “Fem” is now ranked number 3 on the Uganda iTunes Top 10 songs.
Davido’s first concert in Kampala in 2013 flopped but his two follow up concerts have sold out as Ugandans got to learn more of his hit songs that have topped charts in Uganda and on the continent.
Had it not been the cancellation of music concerts and international passenger travel, we are sure we would be getting a Davido concert this year or early next year.
However, as Davido misses Kampala, another Nigerian top star Adekunle Gold already revealed that he would be coming to Uganda as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic passes or gets controlled to enable him travel and perform. The revelation was received with much enthusiasm by Ugandan partygoers on social media.
