If I do not get a call directly from you within one year, that will be the end of Facebook in Africa” – Ashburg Kato threatens Zuckerberg

In a disturbing video posted by Asburg Kato’s friends today, the social media personality started by detailing the emotional anguish he has suffered ever since he lost control of his official page over what he refers to as political reasons.

A sombre looking Ashburg Kato who was speaking in both Luganda and English started by stating, “I want you to know one thing, this is my last post on Facebook. What you should know is that I am announcing that I am quitting. I am no longer going to be on Facebook. But I want to send some simple message to my friend and mentor Mark Zukerberg.

He added, “Dear Mark, you have only one year and I mean it. If I do not get a call directly from you within a space of one year, trust me or believe me or you can mark my word, that will be the end of Facebook in Africa.”

Raising his voice a little louder, Kato, who faced a lot of backlash when he left Bobi Wine’s group for NRM bizarrely added that, “Yes I am talking with moral authority! I am talking with prior knowledge. This is our time to socialise.”

Some people who watched the video left comments wondering where someone who was locked out of a simple page gets the gall to threaten a CEO of a multibillion-dollar corporation.

Others suggested that Kato who has in the past bragged about smoking marijuana might be experiencing a near nervous breakdown and should be encouraged to see a therapist to help and teach him healthy ways of coping with difficult emotions.
