The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary General (SG) Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba has gone into self-isolation after two of her contacts tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Mrs. Lumumba made the shocking revelation in a statement she issued on Monday November 30th, 2020, in which she stated that she had decided to go into quarantine after three of her aides tested positive for COVID-19.
Her statement reads in part thus; “This is to inform the leadership and fraternity of the National Resistance Movement and the country at large, that three (3) of my handlers whom I work with, yesterday tested positive for COVID-19.
I have therefore taken advice from our scientists to immediately enter into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure, while I wait for results of the rapid test I have had to take. All the campaign mobilization and coordination activities at the National Resistance Movement Secretariat will continue normally.”
However, she did not avail details of her contacts who had tested positive or divulge much about their health status.
It should be noted that Uganda has so far registered 205 COVID-19 deaths, out of 20,459 total cases of infection and 8, 989 recoveries.
