National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has resumed his campaigns after he held a meeting with the Electoral Commission Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama on Wednesday.
Bobi Wine had suspended his campaigns on Tuesday after the military and police shot at his vehicle, on top of firing teargas and bullets at his supporters in Jinja and Kayunga Districts respectively.
However, this time round, Bobi Wine has changed his attire by donning an army-green bullet-proof vest and helmet.
The once ghetto president who is now eyeing the State House, left his home in Magere early Thursday morning to head to Eastern Uganda where he is set to continue with his campaigns.

However, before setting off, Bobi Wine held a press conference at his home, during which he told the media that there are some people who want to kill him, reason why he decided to wear a bullet-proof vest.
“I know many of you are wondering why I’m wearing a bullet-proof vest. It is because they want to kill me. You all saw how they shot at my car in Jinja and you know how many times they have tried to kill me, on top of killing innocent Ugandans,” Bobi Wine said.

He added that; “They fear us and fear what we are capable of, reason why they want to kill me. What they don’t know is that killing me will be a bigger problem to them than I am now.”
But, it is not yet clear whether the police will allow Bobi Wine to wear a bullet-proof and helmet that are resemble those of the Ugandan military.
