The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) has lost another senior army officer after Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Mulindwa died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Wednesday afternoon.
He died at Mulago National Referral Hospital, where he had been rushed over the weekend after he presented signs similar to those of COVID-19 patients.
Brig. Gen. Mulindwa’s untimely demise was confirmed by the UPDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Flavia Byekwaso has confirmed.
“The UPDF family with sadness announce the passing on of the Acting Chief of Administration and Personnel Brig Gen Emmanuel Mulindwa. He passed on at Mulago Referral Hospital today at 1600hrs. We join the family in grief at this trying moment and pray for God’s strength. MAGRIP”

According to the Ministry of Health results of COVID-19 tests done on 17 November 2020 confirm 342 new cases, making a total of 16,905 cumulative cases and 157 registered deaths, plus 8,394 recoveries.
