The Uganda police have finally spoken out about how Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Asan Kasingye got infected with the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection that is currently threatening to take him to his creator.
Kasingye shocked many of his followers on social media over the weekend when he announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and as a result had been taken into quarantine for medical attention.
‘BAD NEWS! I HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19’ Kasingye tweeted on Sunday, sending shock waves among his collegaues in police, family members and friends.
However, while commenting about Kasingye’s predicament, the police said that they warned him but he did not listen to their warnings about the deadly virus.
Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango tweeted on Sunday shortly after Kasingye announcing that he had tested positive for COVID-19 thus;
“According to the Institution we told AIGP KASINGYE to stop moving aimlessly, and he didn’t listen, the baganda say ‘owempaka akunama ebiri’.
However, the police did not give any updates about Kasingye’s current health condition or details about how he got infected.
We have since learnt that the Ministry of Health is planning to quarantine Kasingye’s family members and other people who came into contact with him prior to and after his announcement that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
