It is now 71 days left for Ugandans to cast their vote that will decide who will be their President for the next five years.
After the Electoral Commission (EC) successfully nominated 11 candidates for the country’s top office on Monday November 22 and Tuesday November 3, 2020 at Kyambogo University Sports Ground, the Commission has appointed January 14th, 2020, as the polling date for Presidential Elections 2021.
“Following the conclusion of the above nomination exercise, the Electoral Commission has appointed the period from 9th November 2020 until 12th January 2020 for the purpose of conducting candidates’ campaign meetings for Presidential Elections, 2021.
“The Electoral Commission has further appointed 14th January 2020 as the polling date for Presidential Elections 2021.” The Commission said in a press statement released today, November 4, 2020.
The statement further says, “The Electoral Commission urges all nominated candidates, their agents, supporters and the general public to carefully observe the guidelines that have been issued by the Electoral Commission for this campaign period.”

Amuriat Oboi Patrick – Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)
Kabuleeta Kiiza Joseph – Independent (Chair)
Kalembe Nancy Linda – Independent (Ball)
Katumba John – Independent (Table)
Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert – National Unity Platform (NUP)
Mao Norbert – Democratic Party (DP)
Mayambala Willy – Independent (Pot)
Mugisha Muntu Gregory – Alliance for National Transformation (ANT)
Mwesigye Fred – Independent (Radio)
Tumukunde Henry Kakurugu – Independent (Clock)
Yoweri Museveni Tibuhaburwa Kaguta – National Resistance Movement (NRM).
