On Saturday, November 7th, 2020, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace the Rt. Rev. Samuel Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, officially opened the newly constructed Alexandra Medical Center, which is one of Kampala’s premium health centers.
The event, at which Arch. Kazimba was the Chief Guest, was a celebration of Alexandra Medical Centre’s first anniversary and an official launch of the medical Center.
While delivering his summon, Arch. Kazimba hailed the proprietors of the medical center for having acknowledged God’s hand in the establishment, and prayed for it to be a place where patients can see the healing hand of Jesus Christ.
“It is always good to acknowledge that without God we cannot do anything. You must thank God for everything before you ask for anything. This Medical Center should be a place where people see Jesus. When patients come here, pray for them first,” Kazimba urged.
He added, “This should be a place of hope, care, healing, and encouragement.”
Dr Castro Kisuule, the director of Alexandra Medical Center (AMC), who has medical practicing experience of over eight years, said that a hospital, clinic or medical center should be set up in such a way that it feels like a home away from home. A place where a patient will feel like they are not even in a hospital, which speeds up their recovery.
“AMC’s team of general practitioners and specialists are experienced in obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general medicine, surgery including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, dental care, family planning, immunization and vaccination, wellness, preventative health and the facility has a day care section for children,” Dr Kisuule said.
Alexandra Medical Center boasts of modern equipment using the latest technology in diagnosis and treatment of diseases, manned by specialists that have practiced at top medical centers in the region, a combination which undoubtedly provides world-class healthcare.
