Shortly after being given a warm welcome at Heathrow International Airport, Barbie wrote thus on social media;

“Hello London!

Thank you very much for the heart-warming welcome. I cannot wait to see you all on Saturday 14th at the Royal Regency Hotel for The Women and Youth Empowerment in Africa Conference.”

The conference will also be graced by several Ugandan influencers based in the United Kingdom, who will address the participants on various matters ranging from education, social wellbeing to entrepreneurship,     cultural diversity, business networking among others.

We have since established that although Barbie was meant to travel to London with celebrated musician Diana Namukwaya  aka Spice Diana,  the artiste was able to fly out due to the huge visa backlog at  the British embassy in Uganda.

Spice Diana’s apology to her fans in London

Spice Diana apologised to her fans for not being able to make to London for the conference by  writing thus on social media; “To my UK fans and the world over…!!

Am very heart broken and disappointed to be the bearer of bad news to my endearing fans of the UK that as planned and scheduled earlier that I, Spice Diana would embrace the Empower The Girl Child concert slated for tomorrow the 14/05/2022 for a special performance in unity with my sister Barbie Kyagulanyi, My visa application failed to come on through on time which translates into my failure to travel to the UK and perform.

I would like to extend my deepest apologies to everyone who was waiting on me not just from the UK but the world over as well who would make time to catch the live show online.

To the Girl Child Team, I am with you in spirit and i pray and hope that next time all shall be in due time for a better tomorrow for the Girl Child movement.

With lots of love…”

However,  the  organisers of the conference reveal that another event and date on which Spice Diana will entertain her fans in London will be announced soon, so just be on the lookout for updates!
