Celebrated musician Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool has always bragged about being very rich and living large, where he often makes it a point to everyone who cares to know that he is richer than fellow singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

However, a few days ago, Forbes Africa magazine named Bobi Wine as the richest musician in East Africa, followed by Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz and to make matters worse, Bebe Cool doesn’t appear anywhere on the list.

As if that is not enough, he has since chosen to remain tight-lipped about the matter, instead of coming out to defend his position as he has always done whenever anyone tries to compare him to Bobi Wine.

This has left many of his Gagamel fans wondering what really happened to their ‘Munene Munene’, who used to boast about being the richest and most famous musician in Uganda.

Forbes Africa released its list of richest African musicians. They ranked them with their net worth in 2021.

The list that is mostly dominated by Nigerians saw Uganda’s Bobi Wine named as the 16th richest musician in Africa but the richest in East Africa followed by Diamond Platnumz and Jose Chameleone in 18th place.

In East Africa, Bobi Wine is named the richest artiste with a net worth of $7.2 Million (Shs25 Billion) and in second place came Diamond Plutnumz with $6.7 million (Shs 23 Billion), while in third place was Uganda’s music doctor Jose Chameleon with a net worth of $6.2 million (Shs 21 Billion).

Bebe Cool doesn’t feature anywhere, something that has since left many unanswered questions especially amongst his fans, who wonder whether he is really rich or he has all along been blowing hot air.
