The President of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has been arrested for the second time in as many days and whisked away to a yet-to-be-known place.

Bobi Wine was arrested from NUP headquarters in Kamwokya, Kampala moments after he had held a press conference.

In his address to the media, Bobi Wine said that he was planning to deliver a letter to the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen David Muhoozi in which he protests the illegal arrest of NUP supporters and demands their release, or production in the courts of law if they have any case to answer.

Security officers from Police and other authorities deployed heavily and checked each and every car around NUP offices, until they found Bobi Wine, put him in their vehicle drove him away.

While addressing the nation on Sunday, President Yoweri Museveni said that Bobi Wine and his team stole his votes in the January 14 presidential elections in places like Kampala where the NRM did not sufficiently protect the vote. It should be remembered that according to the Electoral Commission results, Bobi Wine had a resounding victory in the Buganda region over Museveni.

When it came to the people that have been mysteriously dying in the aftermath, the President pinned the killings to NUP. This has now turned into a game of pointing fingers, with the red corner claiming the yellow corner is behind the abductions and vice versa.
