A staunch National Unity Platform (NUP) and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine supporter is nursing terrible torture wounds, after she was allegedly kidnapped by armed men who gang-raped and brutalised her.
Constance Kamayonza, who was the Mitooma District Woman Member of Parliament on NUP ticket, is currently hospitalized after she was allegedly abducted by armed men along Kampala Road, who kept her in detention for several days, until she was later dumped at Mulago Hospital in critical condition.
We have since established that her family members later shifted her to a private medical facility in Kampala because of the terrible condition she was, after medics told them that she was bleeding from the private parts.
However, this unfortunate incident comes at a time when several Ugandans, especially those presumed to be NUP or Bobi Wine supporters, have been abducted by people President Yoweri Museveni referred to during his national address as CMI and SFC commandos.
“We brought a distinguished commando unit from Somalia- which had also destroyed ADF rebels. This commando group quickly defeated the terrorists who wanted to disturb elections. They killed some and arrested some of these terrorists,” President Museveni remarked.
He added that; “The Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) arrested 177 suspects and they were either granted bail by court or released. 65 other people arrested by CMI are being investigated.”
Although the government contends that only about 177 people were in detention and many of them have since been released, NUP Principal Bobi Wine has Monday released a list of over 200 people who were abducted from various districts of Uganda and many of them are still accounted for to date.
Here below are some of the names that of the abductees;
