The Commander of Land Forces Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, has Monday morning landed in Kigali, Rwanda, to a second meeting with President Paul Kagame.
Credible sources reveal that Muhoozi, who is President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s son, touched down at Kigali International Airport aboard a Uganda Airlines Jet.
His arrival in Kigali was confirmed by the Uganda High Commission in Kigali in a tweet; “Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba @mkainerugaba has just landed at the Kigali International Airport on his visit to Rwanda on this 14th March 2022.”
On March 5th, 2022 we revealed on this website that Muhoozi was set to fly to Rwanda for a second meeting with President Kagame, although the actual date for his flight had not yet been fixed.
It should be noted that this will be Muhoozi’s second time travelling to Kigali, following his first meeting with Kagame held in January, which resulted into the reopening of Rwanda’s border with Uganda which had been closed for almost three years.
Details about this developing story coming up shortly.
