Breaking: President Museveni Names New Permanent Secretaries

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed, dropped, and transferred a number of Permanent Secretaries in a reshuffle announced on Thursday, July 15.

Betti Kamya has been appointed the new Inspector General of Government (IGG) a position that has been vacant since July 2020. She will be replacing the Former IGG Justice Irene Mulyagonja who was serving her last and final term.

President Museveni has appointed Ms Lucy Nakyobe the new head of Public Service and Secretary of Cabinet. She will be deputized by Deborah Katuramu.

By virtue of the Powers given to the President by Article 174 (2) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, I hereby, appoint the following as Permanent Secretaries as indicated below:
1. Head of Public Service and – Lucy Nakyobe
Secretary to Cabinet

2. Deputy Head of Public Service – Deborah Katuramu
