The Speaker of the 11th Parliament Rt. Hon. Jacob Lokoli Oulanyah has finally returned to the august house after several weeks away in the United Kingdom.
Speaker Oulanyah, whose absence from parliament had sparked off lots of speculation specially among Members of Parliament and his voters, arrived at parliament on Thursday morning, where he was welcomed by deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Anita Among.
The Speaker, who looks to be in fine health condition, was given a warm welcome by all legislators in the house, many of who feared for his wellness especially because there had been no communication from his office or that of the Clerk to Parliament about his health condition.
We have established that although word has been going around that the Speaker was rushed to UK after he developed medical complications, sources close to Oulanyah have since refuted the rumours, maintaining that he had gone to spend off some time with his family.
Oulanyah, who has been away for almost two months until he returned to the country last week, tweeted on Friday thus; “He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words.-Elbert Hubbard.”
Details about Oulanyah’s swaggerific reappearance follow soon!
