The legal fraternity in Uganda is mourning the death of learned counsel Angella Nakafeero Malaika, who succumbed to injuries she sustained in a nasty accident that occurred on Sunday.
According to close pals, lawyer Nakafeero died in an accident that occurred in Bukakata as she returned home from celebrating her birthday at a party that was organised in Kalangala.
We have established that Nakafeero, who was working with Litmus Advocates, was traveling with three of her colleagues who sustained severe injuries and are said to be in critical condition.
Her body was conveyed to Masaka Hospital mortuary for postmortem while her colleagues were admitted in the same hospital for medical attention.
Following Nakafeero’s untimely demise, several of her colleagues have since poured in condolence messages.
Kampala Lord Mayor Hajj Elias Lukwago wrote thus on Facebook; “Gone too soon, counsel Angella. My heartfelt sympathies and condolences to my colleague, Katumba Chrisestom for the loss of our dear niece, who died in a nasty accident at Bukakata this morning. May the Lord confort the entire family through this moment of trial. Fare thee well Angella.”
We have learnt that the police are conducting investigations to establish what could have caused the accident and burial arrangements shall be communicated later.
