First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga, who is also the former Speaker of Parliament, is likely to her nemesis fallen Speaker Jacob Oulanyah’s burial.

Moles reveal Kadaga, who was trounced by Oulanyah during the election for   the Speaker of the 11th Parliament, is away on official duty in Tanzanian.

We are told she traveled to Tanzania to attend the 47th Extraordinary Meeting of the East African Council Of Ministers.

Indeed, Kadaga updated the world on her whereabouts by tweeting thus on Tuesday;

“Have arrived safely at kilimanjaro  International Airport to join my colleagues, the Council of Ministers of the Eac for the 47th Extraordinary meeting ,to handle the Budget and phase one of the recruitment  exercise.”

It is not clear whether Kadaga will be travelling from Tanzania tomorrow in time for Oulanyah’s burial slated to take place at his ancestral home in Lalogi village, Omoro District.

However, what is most certain is that although she paid her last respects to his soul during a special parliamentary sitting on Tuesday to honour the works of his life, Kadaga and Oulanyah were not good friends.

Despite both being members of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) the animosity between Oulanyah manifested during the heated election for the Speaker from which he emerged winner and since then the two could not share a table or cross each other’s paths.

While eulogizing Oulanyah on Tuesday, Kadaga said that; “We had a good working relationship with the late Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah. It was in 2019 when I accidentally realised that he was not well.”
