In the statement he posted on Twitter and his other official social media platforms, President Museveni said thus;

Ugandans and fellow East Africans

This is  to  inform  you  that  on  Friday the  4thof  November, 2022,  with  the  permission  of  the  DRC  Government,  the Uganda Airforce, attacked anddestroyed a big terrorist camp of ADF at locations:i.01°14′ 16′′North and 029° 35′ 26.97′′ East;ii.01° 14′ 19.91′′ North and 029° 35′ 19.91′′ East;iii.01° 13′ 57.71′′ North and 029° 35′ 06.24′′EastYou can see the pictures below. …

I  am  becoming  a  tweeter  on  this  occasion  because  it  is important  for  the  Africans  and East  Africans  to  know  the capacity Africa possesses that can help it to solve these chronic security   problems.   This   location   is   beyond   the   limit   of exploitation that we had agreed with Congo Government that runs Beni−Mbau junction−Eoingeti−Komanda−Kasindi−Beni. Within the  area  that  we  have  been  allowed  to  operate,  we have   destroyed   all   the   camps   the   reconnaissance   has identified,  killed  a  lot  of  terrorists,  captured  others  and emancipated the much terrorized wanainchi of the area.

In all this, we have worked with the brother Congolese Army, the FARDC. That is why the enemy, in desperation, has now fled beyond the limit of exploitation (the boundary of our operations). The ignorant terrorists do not know that within just minutes-not hours-we can reach with deadly fire, many areas, far beyond the line of the limit of exploitation. Hence, on Friday, they got their deserved reward. Wherever they go, we shall reach them as long as the Congo Government allows us to operate with them.  Congratulations  to  the  UPDF  and  congratulations  to the Government of DRC and the Army of Congo.

Signed: Yoweri K Museveni Gen. (rtd).

Meanwhile, it should be noted that thee bombing comes at a time when the Congolese government is at loggerheads with the Rwandan government, who they accuse of backing the deadly M23 rebel group that is ravaging Goma and other parts of the country that is rich in precious minerals.
