Celebrated Ugandan musician Diana Namukwaya aka Spice Diana and Edirisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo have emerged best musicians in East, South and North Africa after they scooped accolades in the AEA_USA awards which were held over the weekend.
African Entertainment Awards (AEA), USA is an annual event that is organised to appreciate and reward outstanding music acts across the African continent.
During this year’s event, Kenzo won the award for the ‘Best Male Artist East/South/North Africa’ and while Spice Diana emerged ‘Best Female Artist East/South/North Africa.’
The 7th AEAUSA to were held in New Jersey on Boxing Day and the award was hosted by Nancy Isime, and Eric Omondi.
The nominees were announced on 1 November 2021, following the opening of the voting portal (vote.aeausa.net), with Wizkid leading with eight nominations.
Tems, and Diamond Platnumz had six nominations, while Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, and Focalistic had five nominations.
