The management of Sports Club Villa are no longer on good terms with the Club’s head coach Petros Koukouras and as you read this, they have since relieved him of his duties.
Coach Koukouras, a Greek, who has been Villa SC coach since last year, will no longer be managing the Uganda Premier League anymore.

A statement from Villa SC President Omar Ahmed confirming Koukouras’ sacking dated June 23rd, 2022, reads in part thus;
“Sports Club Villa has today (Thursday) amicably parted ways with its Head Coach, Petros Koukouras.
Petros leaves with our sincerest appreciation for steering the Club through a very tough season and the Club wishes him well in his next endeavours.
Sports Club Villa confirms Petros’ Assistant, Jackson Magera will temporarily take up the role of Head Coach.
Further announcements will be communicated in due course.”
Meanwhile, we have learnt that although Villa bosses are going around town claiming they sacked Koukouras, what actually happened is that he ditched the Ugandan Club after landing another lucrative deal as coach outside Uganda.
It should however be recalled that Koukouras was in April this year fined Shs2m (two million Ugandan shillings) by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) after he was found guilty of misconduct.
According to a FUFA Competitions Disciplinary panel ruling, Koukouras was found to have breached Article 31(2) of the FUFA Competitions Rules.
Anyways, we promise to bring all the juicy details as soon as our Moles avail us with updates!
