Europa League: London Rivals Arsenal, Tottenham Kick-off Group Stages With Wins

The 2020/21 Europa league kicked off last night in different cities in Europe where 24 matches were played producing a total of 73 goals.

Arsenal, who once played the Champions League for 20 consecutive seasons are now regulars in a lesser European club competition that is Europa, and kicked off this season’s campaign with a 2 – 1 win over Rapid Vienna in Austria.

The Gunners fell behind when Rapid Vienna scored in the 51st minute but responded with a David Luiz header that brought matters to level terms in the 70th minute, and skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tapped in the winner in the 74th minute from Hector Bellerin’s cross.

Their London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs got a convincing 3 – 0 win at home over Austrian side LASK. Tottenham’s goals were scored by Lucas Moura (18’), Andres Andrade (OG, 27’), and Son Heung-min (84’).
