The burial of former Nile Breweries Limited marketing guru Shem Ssemambo is slated for this Thursday March 24th, 2022.
Ssemambo, who became popular in the mid-2000s for marketing Club beer and other NBL products, passed away of Monday this week after spending several years bedridden.
Following Ssemambo’s demise, his family members have since released a tentative burial programme for his remains.
According to the programme, a funeral service was held for Ssemambo’s sould today at Namirembe Cathedral at 2:00Pm.
After the service, the body is to be transported to the family home in Ndejje for the main vigil.
Then tomorrow, Thursday March 24th, the body will be transported to the deceased’s ancestral home in Nakawuka where a service to send him shall be held at 10:00Am and later burial will take place at 2:00Pm.
Ssemambo died of a rare health condition known as Trasverse Myelitis, which is an inflammation of both sides of the spinal cord.
The health complication was too expensive to treat to the extent that by the time of his death his family members had run out of money to clear hospital bills and were appealing to friends and Good Samaritans to come to his rescue.
