Lady Winnie Amoo Okot, who is fallen Speaker Jacob Oulnyah’s former wife, seems to have finally buried the hatchet she had with him after she decided to mourn him.
Lady Winnie, who has been living worlds apart with Oulanyah ever since their marriage was annulled by court in 2016 surprised many of her followers on social media thus;
“Gone too soon, fare thee well Jacob. May God receive you and forgive your transgressions. Your memory will live forever. Wot ma ber lawota.”

Oulanyah, who was the Speaker of the 11th Parliament, passed away on Sunday March 20, 2022, at a medical facility in Seattle, USA, where he was rushed early last month in critical health condition.
It should be noted that following their divorce, Lady Winnie relocated to America with their two daughters and she currently lives with her new husband Derek Allison, with whom she has since produced a son.

However, Moles reveal that for all the time he was on his sick bed, he always sent emissaries to Lady Winnie begging her to send their daughters to check on him before he died but it is not yet clear whether she granted him his dying wish.
Meanwhile, government is yet to reveal the official burial programme for Oulanyah’s remains, although it is not yet clear whether Lady Winnie will travel from America to Uganda to attend the burial ceremony.
