In Uganda, it is almost clear that asking for a pay rise from your bosses means losing the job. In most cases, bosses will promise pay rise and not fulfil, while others will just outright tell you to go somewhere else where your salary requests will be granted.
This seems to be what happened to NTV Uganda news anchor Flavia Tumusiime Kabura, if what is being reported online is to go by. According to reports circulating, the gorgeous mother of one has thrown in the towel at arguably the most viewed television channel in Uganda, NTV, after discussions for a salary increment hit a dead end.
It should be noted that Flavia joined NTV five years ago and previously hosted the Morning at NTV weekday show before becoming the popular face of the 9 pm news segment and other bulletins on the Serena-based station. A side from TV, Flavia hosts the AM to PM show on Kamwokya-based Capital FM.
