Fugitive Pastor Mondo Erects Multimillion Mansion

By Ivan Mwine

You all remember controversial city pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha, who fled the country in 2020 after his accomplices Catherine Kusasira, pastor Umar Ssemanda and Margie Kayima aka Nabbi Omukazi were arrested in a multibillion scandal!

Kusasira, Ssemanda and Nabbi Omukazi were arrested over allegations that they had colluded with Mondo to fleece over Shs4.5Bn from unsuspecting believers at several churches across the country, promising to secure for them scholarships to study abroad and business meetings with President Yoweri Museveni.

Well, the latest from our Moles is that Mondo, who fled to America via South Via and Canada, is said to be erecting a massive crib worth hundreds of millions of shillings in one of the leafy suburbs of Kampala.

The said swanky mansion,  which is a flat, is at roofing stage and a very excited Mondo shared snaps of the crib on Instagram with the caption; ‘It’s well with my soul.’

It is however said that Mondo is constructing the mansion through a proxy our Moles are yet to identify, who usually receives the money to buy building materials and to pay the builders.

It should be noted that Mondo, who has a family in America, was in the headlines a few months back for neglecting a child he sired with his late side-dish Sarah Nakuya, who has since passed on, after he claimed he didn’t have money.

He has thus left many observers wondering where he got the dime to erect this massive mansion from.

During the time he was in Uganda Mondo used to run a church known as Empowerment Gospel Ministries International, which he nowadays operates virtually through zoom, although sometimes he is invited as guest preacher by friendly pastors at their churches in various countries.

Since he fled Uganda in 2020 Mondo has never resurfaced on our dusty streets again, although Moles intimate that he usually travels to neighbouring Kenya  on business errands.
