Dazzling female legislator Col. Charity Bainababo, who is one of the army officers representing the Ugandan Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) in Parliament, has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed the deputy head of the Special Forces Command.
Following the appointment by the Commander In Chief of armed forces, President Yoweri Museveni, Brig. Gen. Bainababo will be deputizing her boss Maj. Gen. James Birungi, who was appointed to head the elite force early this year.
Bainababo replaces Brig. Felix Busizoori, who was appointed as Acting Commander of Special Force Command (SFC) after Brig. Peter Chandia, who was the Commander, was sent for a one-year course as one of the pioneer students of the Uganda National Defence College.
An accomplished military officer, Bainababo was some time back the ADC (Aide-de-camp) and head of security of Uganda’s first lady and minister of Education Janet Kataha Museveni and later served as Commander of the Police Presidential Guard (PPG).
Thanks to her immense experience and professionalism in security matters, Bainababo also doubles as the Dean of UPDF Members of Parliament.
We, as Exposed Uganda, congratulate you upon this great milestone, Afande Charity!
