Gov’t Suspends Cabinet Sittings Over COVID-19, Presidential Campaigns

Intelligence coming in from our Moles at State House  indicate that government has decided to suspend all Cabinet meetings until presidential campaigns are completed in January 2021.

According to our sources, Ministers and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Central Executive Committee (CEC) decided to call off Cabinet sittings such that they can canvass votes for President Yoweri Museveni and other party candidates during this electioneering period.

However, although that is the general reason that was given, insiders within the corridors of power have intimated that cabinet sittings were suspended after some top government officials, among them ministers, tested positive for COVID-19.

But, due to the sensitivity of the matter, the ExposedUganda.com Moles at State House could not readily establish the names of the infected Ministers, although they are working round the clock to identify them.

By press time however, our efforts to secure a comment from the Senior Presidential Press Secretary Don Wanyama were still futile because he couldn’t be reached  through his office lines.

We shall bring the updates as soon as we secure a comment from Wanyama,  although he is also currently engrossed in President Museveni’s campaigns.
