Simon Masereka, a staunch supporter of former Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine in Kasese District, is nursing terrible wounds that were allegedly inflicted on him by armed men who abducted him together with others.
Masereka, a National Unity Platform (NUP) coordinator in Kasese, was reportedly abducted from Kasese District last week together with others whose whereabouts are still unknown.
He had been missing for several days until Friday when he was dumped in Kireka with terrible wounds on his legs, feet, back and other body parts.

Masereka, who could barely talk because of the pain he is going through, told his rescuers that after being abducted from Kasese, they were driven to Mbuya military barracks where they were severely tortured for days.
Alhtough the police and army are yet to issue a statement about these allegation, Masaka Municipality Member of Parliament Mathias Mpuuga, who is also the Leader of Opposition (LOP), has revealed that he raised the matter on the floor of Parliament but it was ignored.

“I raised the matter of abduction, murder & torture of citizens esp @NUP_Ug supporters across the C’try by the regime military. I particularly mentioned the abduction of NUP leaders in Kasese; now this Mr Masereka Samuel, the party Coordinator…” Mpuuga said on twitter.
He added that; “… he was abducted frm Kasese and taken to Mbuya Military barracks. Him 2 other comrades hv been dumped at Kireka & offered unsolicited bond to possibly go & die frm torture wounds! Whoever is doing this, & those cheering you on, we are ready to escort you where you want to go!”
