At least four people are confirmed to have died in a fatal accident that occurred during the Easter holiday.
According the police, the four victims who are yet to be identified, passed away after they got involved in a terrible accident that occurred in Mpigi district.
A statement from the police about the nasty incident indicates that the Police at Wamatovu in Katende, along the Masaka- Kampala highway, on April 17th, 2022, at around 8:15Pm, registered a fatal accident that claimed lives of four people.
The accident involved a motor vehicle registration number UBB 288W, a Fuso box body, a motorcycle registration number UDG 002S Bajaj Boxer and a Premio car registration number UAV 137E.
According to the police, the deceased who are yet to be identified include one female adult, one female juvenile and two male adults including the boda-boda rider.
ASP Faridah Nampiima the Police traffic Public Relations Officer (PRO), noted that that three victims who are yet to be identified were rushed to various unknown clinics for medical attention.
By the time of filing this article investigations were underway to establish what caused the accident and to positively identify the victims.
Nampiima revealed that the motorcycle and the Premio car that were involved in the accident were towed and parked at Mpigi Police station as investigations continue.
