As other political candidates piece together concrete manifestos that explain how they will help the people they will represent once elected into power in the 2021 general elections, singer Kalifah Aganaga, real name Mukiibi Sadat’s plans are self-centred, if what he said in a video interview that’s making rounds on social media is anything to go by.
The singer, who is contesting for Rubaga South Member of Parliament said that if he is voted into Parliament next year, he will use his salary and time to promote his music career and turn his name into a ‘big brand.’
“I will use the MP diplomatic passport to travel the entire world and make collabos with big stars like Kanye West, Davido, Vybz Kartel, among others,” Kalifah said.
He explained that all these stars are big because they have money through their either families or government investment, which he doesn’t, yet he feels he has either the same level of talent or even more so he decided to run for MP such that he can get a stable source of income to boost his music career.
It should be noted that a few weeks ago, Kalifah Aganaga was denied the chance to be the National Unity Platform (NUP’s) flag bearer in Rubaga South for next year’s election. This kind of manifesto might have been the reason he didn’t make the cut.
