Dr. Charles Ayume, who emerged winner in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries on Friday, has revealed that he is ready to work with his opponent Evelyn Anite, the Minister of State for Privatisation.
Ayume and Anite were contesting for the Koboko Municipality Member of Parliament on NRM ticket and the medic scooped the election, despite the Minister’s clout, political bankrolling and support in the area.
However, Ayume has since revealed that despite the result of the primaries, he is ready to work together with Minister Anite and government as a whole when it comes to service delivery for the people of Koboko.

He wrote thus on twitter;
“I commit to remain a servant leader to the people of Koboko. I pray the same choice is made in the national elections in 2021.
To my sister Hon. Anite, thank you for the challenge and the leadership provided to our people, my best wishes in your endeavors.
He added that; “We have now overcome the first milestone in the journey and I have now been officially declared the winner of the NRM Primaries for Koboko Municipality, I thank God, the people of Koboko for your trust, & Uganda for the support extended to me & my family.”
