The State House Anti-Corruption Unit together with the police have today arrested three officials working with Wakiso District over allegations of failure to account for funds received from government.
The operation that led to the arrest of the suspects was spearheaded by Brig. Gen. Henry Rusoke and the State Minister for Economic Monitoring.

Peter Ogwang and was aimed at fighting graft at the district following several complaints from whistleblowers and locals.
The suspects who are currently in police custody following their arrest over false accountability include the District Water Officer, the District Community Development Officer and the Kajjansi Town Council Community Development Officer.
Brig. Gen. Isoke and Minister Ogwang are in Wakiso district for an ongoing exercise to monitor the implementation of both central and local government programs and projects throughout the entire Country.
In his remarks, Brig. Gen. Isoke raised concern about the growing number of corruption complaints from Wakiso district and said he was is on the ground to ascertain the root cause of the many complaints.
During his address to the local leaders, Isoke urged them to join the war against corruption by reporting any acts of mismanagement of government programs to the relevant authorities.
