Another segment in Marvel’s Spider-Man series is in the works and word on the web – literally – is that Oscar award winner Jamie Foxx is returning to the franchise six years after his appearance as Electro in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Foxx is currently in talks with the execs at Disney, the parent company of Marvel Entertainment chatting out a possible return to the franchise.
Spider-Man is one of the most famous comic characters from Marvel, and its inclusion into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has had the youthful jumpy character feature in several of Marvel’s recent releases like ‘Avengers’, ‘Infinity Stone’, ‘Avengers’, ‘End Game’ among others that have gone on to smash the box office.
Foxx’s reported return to Spider-Man 3 plying playing Tom Holland’s (Spider-Man) nemesis Electro has had fans of the franchise hope for a cinematic masterpiece, and a Spider-Man movie that is expected to be better than those before it in the series.
The rest of the main cast; Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, and Tony Revolori are all expected to return alongside Foxx and, of course, Holland in the Far From Home sequel.
Get ready to be entangled in a web of events in this upcoming Marvel movie because if everything goes as planned, Spider-Man 3 will hit theatres on December 21, 2021.
