Celebrated Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone real name Joseph Mayanja and Kenyan singing trio the Mbuzi Gang are currently the talk of East Africa after they dropped a new collabo dubbed ‘Shida’, which is trending on airwaves across the region.
Taken off the Mbuzi Gang’s new album ‘The Three Wise Goats’ which dropped last week, ‘Shida’, which is a Swahili to mean ‘Problems’, is a telltale of ghetto life and how youth are hustling to overcome the challenges.
Produced by Kashkeed, ‘Shida’ is slated to become the dancehall anthem for East Africa, thanks to Chameleone and Mbuzi Gang’s badass combination.
A blend of Swahili and Luganda lyrics, ‘Shida’ will make it very easy for the Mbuzi Gang to penetrate Uganda’s music industry, while at the same time bringing together the rest of East Africa.
Since its release on Friday, ‘Shida’ has been treated to massive reception on YouTube, Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, Instagram and other digital music platforms.
The Mbuzi Gang, who include; Joefes 254, iPhoolish and Fathermoh are signed under Black Market Records, which is the official distributor of all their music.
It should be noted that Chameleone is a celebrated Ugandan musician, who is the founder and C.E.O Leone Island, a renowned record label across East Africa.
