The Kabaka of Buganda kingdom his Highness Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has dispelled rumours that have been circulating indicating that he had died or is very ill and hospitalised, after meeting Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Friday.
Kabaka Mutebi met President Uhuru and premier Odinga separately at the State House and the Prime Minister’s residence respectively, according to our Moles in Kenya.

Premier Odinga gifted Kabaka Mutebi with a book he wrote titled ‘Raila Odinga’, which the monarch accepted as a parting souvenir.

His meeting the two top Kenyan leaders came at a time when several people were spreading rumours to the effect that Kabaka Mutebi had died in Nairobi hospital where he had been rushed a few days after allegedly being poisoned.

However, President Yoweri Museveni had earlier on also refuted the rumours surrounding Kabaka Mutebi’s death and directed police to arrest all those people spreading the rumours on social media.

Shortly after his meetings with President Uhuru and Premier Odinga, the Kabaka audience to a few of his subjects living and working in Nairobi, who got a rare opportunity to interact with the Lion of Buganda.
