The Monarch of Buganda Mis Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda II is set to hold a conference with all Baganda and other Ugandans to live and work in Chicago, USA, later this month.
According to sources with Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga’s office, Kabaka Mutebi will address his subjects in Chicago on various issues, top on the agenda being strategies on how to survive amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The forthcoming conference, which is to be held on May 29, 2021, has since been confirmed by Katikiro Mayiga, who is already spreading the great news on all his social media platforms.
However, according to Katikiro Mayiga, Kabaka Mutebi’s Chicago conference will be held via zoom and broadcast across various social media platforms, in a bid to conform to international and local regulations put in place by authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“This year’s conference will be held via zoom in a bid to observe the COVID-19 regulations and will focus on how to overcome the technological challenges that Ugandans both in Uganda and abroad face,” a source from the Katikiro’s office intimated to this website.
This news has since been welcomed by several Ugandans with access to social media who are warming up to be part of the conference.
It is also good news for many Baganda who were initially worried about the Kabaka’s health, especially after Katikiro Mayiga revealed last month that the monarch was being disturbed by an allergy.
