Katikiro Mayiga Graces Spice Diana’s ‘Star Gal’ EP Launch

The Katikiro of Buganda kingdom Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga on Thursday night graced singer Diana Namukwaya aka Spice Diana’s launch for her new Extended Play (EP) dubbed ‘Star Gal’.

Katikiro Mayiga was the chief guest at the event that was held at Cubana Bar and Restaurant in Munyonyo.


“Nneetabye mu kabaga ka Spice Diana  ng’ayimba ennyimba ze. Nkubirizza bannabitone okukola emirimu gyabwe n’obukugu ate n’obuvumu, nga beewa ekitiibwa, olwo balyoke beezimbe, tuzze Buganda ku Ntikko ate ne Uganda etinte,” the Katikiro said about the event, which can be loosely translated to mean;

“I have been part of Spice Diana’s launch for her new songs. I urge all artistes to be professional while pursuing their careers, brave and maintain self-respect because that’s the only way to develop themselves,  take back Buganda kingdom to the top and  make Uganda flourish.”

Meanwhile, Spice Diana and Sheebah also publicly buried their hatchet by reconciling, hugging and kissing.

Following their makeup, the two singers who have been beefing for a long time, also hinted on outing a collabo one of these days.

The star-studded event was also attended  by several legendary Ugandan musicians, among them Annet Nadujja, Rema Namakula, Chance Nalubega, Juliana Kanyomozi, Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool, Iren Namatovu, Eddy Kenzo among others.

Spice Diana’s ‘Star Gal’ EP features the following track list; ‘Sankalebwa’, ‘Toli Weka’, ‘Boss’ and ‘Siri Regular’.
