For those of you that do not use Twitter, the social network has got different sections depending on the varying topics that range from Politics Twitter to nude twitter, meme twitter and Football Twitter among others.
Football Twitter is where fans, supporters, clubs meet to discuss opinions and ideas about their clubs, troll and banter rival clubs as well as continually debate who the “Goat” is between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Yesterday, Ugandan top football clubs Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA FC) popularly known within football circles as “Kasasiro boys” and Sports Club Villa traded rants with each other on Twitter, when veteran sports journalist David Lumansi asked KCCA fans why they don’t buy KCCA’s merchandise like the cups bearing the club’s badge.
SC Villa replied to the tweet thus; “Maybe because KCCA fans are not used to drinking from cups. They are not used to cups.”
On seeing the troll from Villa, KCCA quoted the tweet with the results of last season’s encounter between the clubs where KCCA beat Villa 4 – 1 at StarTimes Stadium captioning it, “Our fans are used to this.”
KCCA’s banter was too cheeky that Villa couldn’t survive from it.
It is worth noting that SC Villa is the most successful Ugandan football club with 16 league titles and nine Ugandan Cup titles, but KCCA have been the most successful in the recent 10 years.
