Kenyan TV anchor and investigative reporter Victoria Rubadiri has won BBC World News Komla Dumor award.
Rubadiri, who has interviewed leading East African public figures and as a host at Citizen TV, becomes the six journalist to win the Award since it was launched in 2015, in honour of the late Ghanaian journalist Komla Dumor.
Dumor used to work for BBC World News and was the main presenter of the news segment Focus on Africa.

On receiving the good news, the excited Kenyan media personality said; “Komla was a well- rounded journalist whose style I seek to emulate, although authoritative, he was also compassionate, empathetic and uplifting.
His ability to give the facts comprehensively, and yet still be attuned to his audience, was something I admired and a skill I seek to emulate.
Rubadiri will begin her three -month placement at the BBC by attending a training course with BBC Academy and afterwards work with a BBC news team.
Uganda celebrated journalist Nancy Kacungira, who is the 2015 Komla Dumor award took to Facebook to congratulate Rubadiri.
