Legendary Ugandan reggae maestro Maddox Ssematimba is set to perform at a double concert in London dubbed ‘Maddox The Legend Festival’, which will be held at the Royal Regency Hall, on Friday December 9, and on Saturday 10th December, 2022 .
We have established that tickets for the Saturday concert, which is a purely VIP event, already sold out, which prompted the organisers of the festival to stage the Friday gig for his fans who missed tickets for the Saturday show and those who couldn’t afford the VIP tickets.
Moles reveal therefore that the Friday gig will be a precursor or curtain raiser of sorts for the main concert to be held on Saturday, which completely sold out.
The Friday 9th gig has been organised due to public demand, after revellers who missed tickets for the Saturday concert pleaded with the organisers to provide them with an opportunity to experience Maddox after decades of not seeing him perform live.
Prior to performing in London however, Maddox is slated to perform in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Saturday December 3rd, 2022, where he will thrill his fans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with his popular jams.
Besides Madoxx however, the festival will also feature great performances from celebrated Ugandan artists among them; Cindy Sanyu, Carol Nantongo, Mc Moseh, to mention but a few, with special support from Davison Band Africa.
Sponsored by Jobs Links, Mosh Alim Events UK, FK Events, among other sponsors, the Maddox festival is anticipated to be the biggest festive season event for Ugandans living in the diaspora, reason why many of them are anxiously waiting for it.
