Popular Ugandan motocross star  Arthur Blick Junior is currently hospitalized and battling for his life after he suffered a terrible accident on Sunday.

Sources close to the Blick family reveal that Blick Jnr suffered severe injuries after he got involved in the accident as he rode his bike at the racing track in Garuga, off Entebbe Road.

Following the horrible incident, Arthur is said to have suffered a dislocated elbow and a head concussion.

He is currently undergoing medical attention and family members reveal that his health condition is stabilizing.

Born at Nsambya Hospital to Arthur (Snr) and Grace Blick on May 4, 1976, Blick Jnr went to Jack and Jill for his nursery before spending his early part of primary school at Buganda Road PS. He later went to Katatumba Academy in Mbarara for his secondary lessons.

He pursued a degree in Business Management at Makerere University and on completion took over his dad’s Speedway Engineering Ltd garage which remains his family’s main bread earner.

Married to beautiful Noella, they are blessed with two sons Alistair and Paddy who both ride to complete a motocross mad family.

Blick, who started motocross in 1996, is known for his discipline, endurance and consistency on the race course.

As a son of a mechanic, he picked up vehicle maintenance skills early but he chose to professionalise and acquired a certificate in mechanics from Kyambogo University in Kampala.

He hails from the Blick family, which is a household name in sports in Uganda that is largely linked to motocross and motor rallying in Uganda.

Although the original Blick family hails from Oxfordshire in the UK, part of it has lived in Masaka-Uganda for decades.
