The fraternity of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is mourning the tragic loss of one of their lecturers, who breathed her last on Sunday.
According to management of MUBS, the lecturer identified Barbara Amule Atubo at a hospital in Kampala where she was rushed to after she developed strange health complications.

Announcing her death, Jacqueline Namaganda, the Ag. Human Resource Director, MUBS, stated thus on social media Monday;
“Obituary!!
The School Administration with great sadness announces the death of Ms. Barbara Amule Atubo, a Lecturer in the Department of Finance, Faculty of Commerce. She passed on yesterday Sunday June 5, 2022 at 4pm. Burial arrangements shall be communicated in due course. May the soul of the Late Barbara Amule Atubo rest in eternal peace.”
However, Namaganda did not divulge details of what could have caused Atubo’s death.
But it should be noted that her death coincided with that of a MUBS student identified as Posha Lisa Ahereza, who was rushed to Naguru Hospital on Sunday after she developed stomach complications, only to be announced later in the night by medics.
The mystery surrounding Atubo and Ahereza’s strange deaths has left both students and the academic staff at MUBS greatly worried, with lots of unanswered questions.
Meanwhile, we have since established that Atubo was daughter of former lands minister Daniel Omara Atubo.
