Celebrated reality TV star Kim Kardashian has reportedly filed for divorce from Kanye West after seven years of marriage.
The bootylicious TV superstar, who was hosted by president Yoweri Museveni together with her husband Kanye at State House, Entebbe in 2018, is asking for a joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children.
The two are said to have a prenuptial agreement and neither couple is contesting it.
Friends of the couple say the Kim and Kanye had marital problems before, like most married couples, but things worsened in the last half of 2020 when Kanye launched his presidential campaign on July 4th, and went to hold a quirky campaign in North Carolina.
It is said that at some point he got so emotionally inflamed and started crying and told of a story about the discussion he had with Kim, talking about abortion when she was pregnant with their first child North West.
Later Kanye posted series of tweets in which he attacked the Kardashian family and called her mother “Kris Jong Un.”
Friends say Kim felt like she had had enough and wanted to end their marriage but on another hand, she didn’t want to leave Kanye who is publicly known to suffer from Bipolar syndrome at his lowest.
However, sources close to them say the main reasons for the divorce is differences in their beliefs and politics.
Kanye and Kim started dating in 2012 after the multiple award winning rapper professed his love for her in his song “Cold”.
Almost a year later Kim gave birth to their first born North West and in May 2014 the two lovers got married in Italy. Suffice it to note that this will be Kim’s third divorce.
