There is bitter beef raging on between two National Resistance Movement (NRM) stalwarts Dan Kimosho, who is the Member of Parliament for Kazo County and Daniel Dombo, who is the Director for Information at the NRM Secretariat.
Moles reveal that the bitter spat between Dombo and Kimosho stems from a move by parliament to increase the legislators’ emolument in the next financial year due to the current economic hardships in the country.
However, Dombo does not agree with the move by legislators to increase their salaries, reasoning that it is unfair and not plausible at this time when the country is struggling with economic hardships.
Actually, Dombo made his position public known while appearing for an interview on NBS TV, during which he said that he sees no justification for increment and put legislators to task to avail him with information to support their claim.
But Dombo’s move did not amuse Kimosho one bit and before everyone knew what was going on the two men had resorted to exchanging bitter words on twitter, as you can read from the screenshots;
“Why would MPs enhance their allowances yet teachers and doctors are demanding for money? I’d like to hear this explanation from the Members of Parliament,” Dombo asked and in reply, Kimosho shot back;
“While I don’t know of such allowance enhancements for MPs, maybe there is justification so that MPs can increase their Contributions to the Secretariat to cater for Hon. @emmanuel_dombo’s allowances…”
